guide : Taishi Ose
Born in Chigasaki in 2001 and raised in Lake Biwa. At the age of 12, he was fascinated by a kayaking trip to Haida Gwaii with his father, and after graduating from high school, he went to British Columbia to gain experience of sea kayaking. He worked as a guide for one summer at Ocean River Sports in Victoria and one summer at west coast expeditions in Spring Island. He absorbed sea kayaking skills and travel know-how from British Columbia paddlers. During his three years in Canada, he traveled solo along the coast of British Columbia from Prince Rupert to Victoria, west coast of Vancouver Island and Haida Gwaii. He also enjoys skiing in British Columbia, which he learned in Whistler.
In the future, he hopes to travel to the Pacific coast of British Columbia and Alaska.
